The hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to explore Charleston on foot. While the staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming, the accommodations do need some serious updating, especially the bathrooms which feel outdated for the price. Noise from neighboring rooms can also be a nuisance, impacting the overall experience.

While the hotel has a lot of historic charm, my experience was quite mixed. The staff members I interacted with were variable, some being very accommodating, but certain issues really stood out. Overall, the hotel requires some updates, and the room situation can be puzzling depending on your group size. The dining experience was delightful, adding some flair to the stay. If you're okay with some bumps, it could be a memorable visit, but the age of the property does show in certain areas.
